Hi guys , I wanna tell you some Thai words , they may be very useful when you ask the way to arrive your destination.

 

left: sai

right: kwar

far: glai

bus stop: tar rot may

toilet: hong nam

airport: sa-nam bin

train station: sa-tar-nee rot-pai

floor: chun

1st floor: chun neung

I'm pretty sure it's sa-tar-nee rot-fai in stead of pai... Pai means go.

ใกล้ 'Glai' also means near - it just shows how important tones are. Also, ชั้น - floor (of building) is closer to 'chan' than 'chun'. Best to take a small phrase book and point to avoid confusion.

Since your doing Thai directions - ______ + tii nai? ( _____ is Where?)

 

baan tii nai / yuu tii nai (Where's your house? Where do you live?)
