I got this PM from a new BM Mariam with 0 posts from the US!

Does anyone has a clue what's it about ?

Are there scammers active on this forum ?

I didn't answer back and deleted the pm immediatelly!

Has someone experienced the same?

Certainly spam if ever I saw it.

Haven't looked before, but is there a way to directly report spam messages, or do you need to post here to let mods know?

You can report, the same way you report a post!

It was a bulk PM by a spam bot, a moderator banned the account, and I deleted all of the sent messages from that account, I just checked and they are all gone, so I am not sure, where you guys are getting these from.

I remember getting an email from the EXACT same person at least 5 years ago, through a penpal site (yes, laugh...... But it was just to meet foreign chicks to bang! Which was successful)

 

So whilst I've changed my tactics by coming to Thailand, they have the same old tactic!

If you get one of these emails please forward a copy of it with the BMs name to a moderator so that we can deal with it.

I try to identify if they are scams and report them. This one has a hotmail account so I report them to [email protected] This one is a take-off of the Nigerian money laundering scam. Report these scams to the proper people (in this case hotmail) and you can help get their email account closed. After a couple of times then hotmail will refuse to accept a account from that IP address and to continue the scam this will force them to buy another computer.

 

Here is what I recieved and forwarded to hotmail.

Jokonya who died in the early hours of Saturday morning June 24, 2006 after collapsing in a bath tub and being prescribed by the doctor as cardiac arrest after his death,

 

I am constrained to contact you because of the maltreatment I, am receiving from my step mother.
