I hate computers, everything has been working fine until today I tried to log on to MSN messenger and it says a new version is available, I click yes to upgrade and go through all the relevant steps but get the following error message

If I click try again, same message, if I try to log on to messenger without updating I just get the same message again saying a newer version is available and if I click no then I cannot log on. I have checked the MSN error database but that is as much use as a chocolate fire guard. Any ideas from the clever ones among you.

Make sure that MSN is not running before trying to installing. Failing that I would try uninstalling MSN and then reinstall the new version.

You could also try installing the thing in safe mode. Tap F8 constantly when you startup (before you enter windows) and choose safemode with networking and try it there.

Get lost, I only bought this computer 20 years ago :GoldenSmile1: , I am running windows XP SP3, I think I need to install windows 7.

 

I will just get my friend round who has a brain to sort it. Not too big a deal, I have no friends just annoying.
