Best way to travel from Tokyo to BKK?

Hi,

I'm going to be doing some travelling in April/May around Asia and one of the legs I am planning is from Tokyo to BKK. For some reason flights are so expensive out of Japan to pretty much anywhere in Asia. Question for my brother mongers in Japan - what is the most efficient and cost-effective way to get from Tokyo to BKK? I'm considering catching AirAsia from TYO to KL, then KL to BKK as that seems reasonable priced.

Japan has a holiday period called 'golden week' at the end of April and beginning of May. Any flights around this time and even a week before and a week after are very expensive. You might want to reconsider your dates.

  • 3 weeks later...

Yeah definately try another date, tickets from NRT(Narita, Tokyo) to BKK(Bangkok) are usually around $390-$680 any other time. I went at the end of May for 3 weeks to LOS and it was like only $630 at the time for a round trip ticket.

Is that $ USD or $ Aussie dollar's?

Try this website http://www.no1-travel.com/ and give them a call, explain your dates. They are pretty good with getting back to you about prices and dates. I never had a problem with them. You would need to find out how far out do you need to pay for the ticket and see if that fits in with your travel plans.

Enjoy!

Beware the beast Man, for he is the Devil's pawn. Alone among God's primates, he kills for sport or lust or greed. Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land. Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours. Shun him; drive him back into his jungle lair, for he is the harbinger of death.
