It's a great deal if your room has been refurbished and not if it hasn't. It's going so cheap lately, I have the feeling that it may be looking a little tired. I stayed there 4 years ago and they gave me a huge 1 bdrm. apt. that had been nicely redone. Good location and great pool. Maybe check Trip Advisor and see what's going on with the property right now. wj

I stayed at Omni Tower countless times 10-12 years ago before settling into a house in BKK. The prices compared very favourably to hotels and the Grand President (the obvious competitor), but Omni beat them all into a hat by the size of the suites and facilities therein. The web-site photos are accurate, and any upgrading of the rooms should make it an even better deal. I'd go for it - no negatives received from pals who've stayed there on short visits over the last few years.

 

An update here if you decide to stay there would be very useful.

Stayed there in August, great big room with kitchenette, paid about 2000 per night. Breakfast was crap, but good location, all the amenities (pool, gym, in room massage etc), close to the action. Very secure, a guard at the bottom of the elevator, he calls your room as the girls are leaving. Id definately stay there again.
