eva air cheap(ish) flights

same problem as me pal. i fly out on the 2130 from heathrow on the 29th december. i booked in july. apparantly the flight nos from delhi to bangkok have changed. i received my first e ticket but the called to tell me about the fuck up. that was about 6 weeks ago. i have called the fuckers 10 times now and all i get from them is that they are waiting for the flight no to be confirmed and until then they cant do anything. i have been calling for the last 6 weeks and i am getting pretty pissed off now..and worried. i am also with southall and the twats on the end of the phone are ignorant as fuck. i will never book with them again. i am still worried about my flight. i know its just over a month away but i am totally worried about it.

Had probs with southall in past too, they been in the game along time,customer service has gone to sh*t, (think theyve got to big for their for boots) saying that it aint the flight you should be worried about its the person sat next ya ok ok enough jet air jokes

now southhall phone me saying at its a 50 50 change that AIR INDIA have booked

me on the AI112 fight 1330hr and not the AI116 2030hr on 27th Dec.

how the fuck can they do that ?

 

i don't what spent best part of 11 hours in Delhi.

i ask for my money back, but hey don't do refunds.

never never again.

I think its unfair to blame Southall, you are asked to check the details carefully all the way though the process, i have used them and never has a problem, even if its a phone booking they send you an email first to check everything ok, before i press "pay" there is always a last check for me of my flight times , dates, and length of stopovers, i would not want 12 hours in Delhi

 

Or did they change it after you got your e-ticket from the original booking.

on my e ticket the time is right 2030hrs

but the flight number on the e ticket AI112 is the 1330hrs flight

so i don't know if I'm coming or going.

well i have my invoice in front of me and i am booked on the AI112 fltight on 29 december at 2130 not 2030. but apparantly the flight no 112 is now going at 1330. who knows whats happening to the 2130 flight. are you sure you wwere booked at 2030 not 2130. seems a bit weird that its fucked up on the 27th and the 29th..would like to talk to fucking air india..you have any phone nos for them twats.

Yup, they just quoted me £540 for my dates in March out of LHR. Not flown them before, reviews seemed mixed. Think will wait to see if can get deal on Thai.

I have travelled with Eva 5 times now and found them to be excellent value for money. The only problem I have ever had is a late departure but that was due to 2 passengers not boarding after checking in.

Eva are in my opinion the best Airline to fly direct from the UK to BKK, i have tried them all.

 

I booked my flight a few weeks ago for 13th feb and paid £628. I could of saved a little over a £100 if I flew via mumbai but that looked to much hassle.

 

As for Evas hot E-fares, i think you will need to be lucky or flexible to get them.

 

If you can fly mid week you will get a cheaper ticket.

Eva far better than Thai IMHO and cheaper.

Don't know if Thai have upgraded their planes, but when i flew with them 4yrs ago it was an old plane with the tv hanging down

from the top which you obviously had no control on what you could watch.

The inflight entertainment on Eva is excellent with a good choice of movies, music etc.

This was flying from Heathrow.

Yes Thai still have same really old 747-400's out of LHR with no back of seat IFA.

Doesn't bother me as don't watch the films and I'm happy to trade for more legroom (34") and no boxes under seat to reduce my stretch out space.

If you like modern planes forget Thai until they bring in new Airbus's on this route.

Netflights are pretty cheap at the moment, just booked with EVA from Heathrow to BKK 26/2 to 19/3 £509 return, have flown EVA last 3 trips

never had a problem, even got a free upgrade in December, to premium economy on the outbound flight.

I just checked my dates again and it's £620. A mate of mine just booked for £520ish. Because my annual leave is Sunday to Saturday I always get stiffed on airfares because they're more expensive at weekends.
