Turning off the lights in your room will probably make your computer screen look brighter right away. :P

 

Seriously tho, this is one of those tech questions that could have a lot of different answers, depending on what you have. You could adjust a number of things: your monitor, video card , the OS settings, etc...

 

To help narrow down the possible suggestions: What kind of computer (laptop or desktop?), what operating system it is that you're using, what kind of monitor you're using (LCD or CRT)?

how do i make my screen brighter. thanks

 

on your monitor there should be a menu button, press it and go through the options, there should be one for contrast and brightness.

Instructions

 

How to Make the Computer Screen Brighter Using the Monitor:

 

1.Press the "Menu" button on the monitor.

2.Use the "Volume" buttons to scroll to the "Brightness" menu.

3.Press the "Menu" button again to select the "Brightness" menu.

4.To brighten the computer screen, press the button to increase the volume, which moves the brightness scale to the right.

5.Press the "Menu" button twice to exit. Check your computer screen's brightness.

 

How to Make a Computer Screen Brighter Using Windows XP

 

1.Right-click on the desktop. Click "Properties" on the drop-down menu.

2.Click the "Settings" tab.

3.Click on "Advanced."

4.Click on "Intel[R] Extreme Graphics."

5.Click on "Graphics Properties..."

6.Click on the "Color" tab.

7.Slide the "Brightness" scale to the right to make your screen brighter.

8.Click on "Apply" and "OK" to make the changes.
