Car hire in Pattaya

Hi, I will be in Pattaya with my wife mid January and we were thinking of doing a bit of exploring around and about Pattaya. Any advice on whether hiring a car would be a good option or would it be safer/better to stick to local taxis? Thanks Barney

If you are a first time visitor or have never driven in Thailand I suggest you hire either a taxi or a baht bus for the day, negotiate a price before you start, if you are comfortable driving here then a car gives you more freedom but can be very stressful.

Hi Zubes, it will be our second visit and we have never driven over there so we are going to take your advice and travel around by taxi or baht bus. Many thanks, Barney & Betty
