Hello People

 

Going out for a month in December is it worth taking an old mobile and getting a thai sim card?

 

If so who with and what's the deal?

 

Would you just use in LOS or Phone back UK?

 

Any Advice

I never ever use my UK phone in Thailand, especially if Im planning on partying I'd hate to lose my phone. Bought a crappy old one in Kuala Lumpur, and a sim card which you can put credit on when you like via phone shop or any one of the million 7-11's and use that for all calls in and out of the country.

 

Didn't really look much for deals, bought a True sim card at MBK (where they also unlocked the Malaysian cheap phone) and its suited me fine. Im sure there are a lot of offers out there if you look; I don't use it much for international (I leave a message on my UK phone with the Thai number for people to call) so it wasn't a concern to batter down the charge or monitor it. Of course, much cheaper than the Iphone charges (turn off your data roaming if you have one!)
