Travel time from View Talay 5?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, This is my first post. I've been trolling here for awhile and I've gotten lots of good information from all of your posts. I will be in Pattaya soon for the first time and I'm thinking of staying in Jomtien Beach at View Talay 5. For those who know this place how far away is it really from the Walking Street area? I want to be able to relax in a quiet place and still be very close to the action. I hear it's only 10 min by baht bus, which is acceptable, I just need to know for sure that it's not farther away before booking. Thanks

its usually is only 10 mins and 10 baht from Jomtien to walking st.

Farang = Walking ATM. TG's push the right buttons and money comes out. PIN = BBBJ

It's a nice place and bhat buses run into Pattaya regularly, as craig said, about 10 minutes.

Getting home is a little trickier as you need to turn left just before WS then walk for 5 mins to the BHAT bus stop. Usually there is a little wait as the buses only depart once full. Personally this wasn't an issue for me :)

Tykap,

You are on the right track with a quiet place and about 10min to Walking St. and the usuals of the night.

Good idea it is staying there in Jomtien.

I have stayed in the ViewTally's (5C and D) a few times. Either one is good...C is closer to the ocean by about 60 meters that is all. massage, food store, internet cafe, ect are on the ground floor. Just walk out to the street and get the baht bus...yeah, getting home can be a small issue...especially late at night...waiting for the bus to fill up and such. Hey, I met a great girl from Canada that way. For going out from the condominium at night....I use to get 2 or 3 telephone numbers of taxi's during my first day or two in town. I would call them before I left the room and if I am with my girl they would pull right into the ViewTally 5 and pick me up. I usually pre-arranged the price to Walking St. of about 100bht.

Helpful tip: The restaurant at the pool @ 5C is the best! Some of the best pad thai I have ever had...a full, full plate...all at 100 bht. I'll be there in 4 weeks...
