To live in Pattaya and rent a property do i need to know anything?

 

Are there requirements? what are the payment terms? I think from what ive read most seem to be minimum 6 months? Is this paid monthly or upfront? do you need a thai bank? etc..??

It depends on who you rent from. The first place I rented, It was a Expat who owned the place. I just put a month notice and rented month to month. I have never been asked if I had a Thai bank account.

 

It is pretty universal.

I manage a lot of condos and the rental terms start from one month - leases of six and twelve months generally get a better monthly rate.

 

Having a thai bank account is not a requirement but the landlord will normally want a copy of your passport.
