Pattaya or Phuket - Patong

Have not been to Phuket for 6 years now. Any reason to pick Phuket (patong) instead of Pattaya for the party scene only? - I know the beaches and tours you can do are much greater, but party /night life wise?

Go to Phuket... plenty of girls and a much nicer setting with more to enjoy during downtime... not to knock Pattaya but it gets to be too much after awhile. However, if you have only say 5 days and want all you can get than go to Patts.

I think this depends more on the girl than on the location.

 

Some BGs work at various places and switch, like seasonal workers, from Pattaya to Phuket and/or Samui.

Just think it depends on what you are looking for when on a night out. Obviously Pattaya is more hardcore in bar scene regards, but if you want a more laidback nightlife experience which is still littered with BG fun, then Phuket is the place.
