I have an non immigrant ED visa with multiple entry. I see a lot about visa runs, extensions and immigration and the more i read the more confusing it seems to get. I will be attending an actual university for a 4 year BS degree.

The embassy site says multiple entry is valid for 1 year, does that mean I have 1 year to arrive in Thai or once I arrive the visa is good for 1 year? What are my requirements with this type of visa?

Basically means once you arrive then you are good for 1 year. However the visa would typically have to be used by a certain date. Check the visa in your passport and it should have a date by which you need to enter Thailand and the 1 year begins.

Hi, i also have a 1 year multiple entry, because the 1 year multiple entry includes you do not have to get and pay a re entry fee as it is already in your paid fee for 1 year MULTIPLE entry , some administrators on Thai Visa advise me not to go for the school extensions but keep the border runs because then you need a re entry permit to pay for leaving Thailand and come back , as price is almost the same 1900 against 2000 for the visa run ,and i t could affect your current Multiple entry 1 year in changed extension by immigration, at border NO questions asked , just stamped and go...

Before your last day doing a last visa run you should receive another 90 days
