Is GF Visa for England any good for France

I am bringing my GF over to England in September and taking her to the garden of England Kent. Had an idea last night that it would I be nice to take her on a day trip to France. Anyone got an idea whether this is possible on a UK visa before I spend ages trying to cut through the red tape of UK/French Embassy.

Best ask the experts, but i'm pretty sure its not.

She'd need a tourist visa for each country she planned to visit.

The whole europe without borders thing is only for EU citizens.

You would I believe need a Schengen visa to do that. SEE HERE However even that is only between 15 of the countries and UK is not one of them.

The Shengen Area currently consists of 25 European countries.

Ireland and the UK opted out of Schengen's border control arrangements, so she would need a separate visa for France.

When i brought my nearly ex to ireland i had to get another visa from the english embassay so she could visit her sister.

Thanks Fred all info is welcome. Ireland is a place I have previously thought of and I just assumed a UK visa would be enough.
