Wanted -- Power Wheelchair

I am looking to buy or rent a power wheelchair. My Mom is coming to visit for August and although she is mobile, she tires very easily. A power wheelchair would let her get around and not feel like she was holding others back.

 

Anybody have one not being used, I'll rent or buy. Also, if you can point me to some shops selling them I would appreciate it.

The main Pharmacy on North road just before City Hall has a selection of mobility aids. Its name is Fascino (spelling?), Driving towards the beach road on Pattaya North, as you past through the traffic lights at Pattaya North road and Third road you will find it 100 metres down on your left. It has ample parking.

 

They have smaller branches throughout Pattaya but this is their main one where the full selection they hold are stored. they will also order for you from brochures.

So I went Fascino, near City Hall. They have 1 power wheelchair on display. I spent about 15 minutes looking at it, sitting in it, etc and not a single person even asked if they could assist me. Lots of people around but mostly in the Beauty section. The security guy was nice enough to get the door for, so it did not not hit me on the ass on my way out.

 

So, I am still looking if anybody has a used one or knows of another shop.

The majority purchase from there and add a mark-up. This Thailand, when I was buying crutches there my experience was similar, so I opened my mouth and summoned assistance. Good luck with the search but you may well find yourself back there if you really need this for your mum.

I passed a shop on Threapasit Road tonight and they had wheelchairs on display on the top floor,now I didn't see if they were electric or not but there were definately wheelchairs.

Head down Threpasit from Tesco towards Jomtien and it's 400 metres past the go-kart track on the right hand side,it's the last shop.Beauty downstairs but also a sign saying medical supplies.

Maybe worth a look.
