Tattoos & The Sun/Heat in Pattaya

I am looking at getting some more ink done over in pattaya while I am there. Question is though, is it better to get the tattoo toasted the end of my holiday or the star of my holiday. The reason I ask is because, you are not supposed to go into the sun or water with your tattoo......are you? I don't wanna get it at the start if it is going to get wrecked by the sun or the salt water. Does chroline pools effect tattoo's? Has anyone else got a tattoo over in pattaya and then gone out in the sun or gone swimming? Also are the tattoo joints pretty good over in pattaya.

Farangs pay more mate in all things....if you are a Thai girl it will cost 100's of baht if a farang 1000's a simple fact ...the bar girls always ask how much i paid for my tattoos and are amazed at how much , ask for recommendations and best artists etc...my best one was done in Pattaya songkran 2009 by a thai artist facing rock city he had won a tattoo contest and was in big demand....go watch them working and make your own mind up but take a look at my "when tattoos go wrong" thread

All I would say is listen to the recommendations of the BM's on here about where to have a tattoo done.

I had one done on Soi Yamoto, next to the George + Dragon, the twat that did it was worse than useless,he didn't clean the area or shave it,luckily it was only a small tattoo but it got infected and wouldn't heal for weeks,anti-biotics wouldn't touch it and it constantly oozed gunge.

When I went to another tattooist to get it covered he went crazy about the mess the other wanker had made.Told me the twat had gone too deep with the needles and then had a go at me for having it done.

You can still see where the infection took hold of it and it's not nice.

Go somewhere that's been recommended,if you see a Thai girl with nice work on her ask her where she had it done, there are some very good places here, unfortunately I found a shithole of a place and paid big time.

As long as you are good with cash and dont spend it all before you go home ? do it at the end of your trip

defo at the end of your trip mate, i had a tattoo done in spain years ago, got drunk, went to the beach and most of it faded away, had to get it redone in the Uk

thailand far cheaper than western places, look around, check diff joints out, speak to the girls etc etc

ive had many tattoos done in europe and thailand, when you have a tatoo done in pattaya put plenty of antiseptic cream on everyday advoid swimming in pattaya bay at all costs, and when your soaking up the rays cover the tattoo with sun block.

Use nappy rash cream

Do it at the end of your holiday

and PM me if you want a top class tattooist (not a tourist tattooist around the tourist areas)for a good priced tattoo that is equal to anywhere in the world

I see one tattooist recommended in this thread already who uses shitty indian inks

oh and the good tattooists in Pattaya ( and there are actually a few) charge no different for a thai to a farang

Better to be daring and cool, than timid and uncool! Life's journey is not about arriving at your gravesite in a well preserved condition, but rather dropping into it in a long sideways skid, totally worn out, and shouting "Holy Shit...What a ride" - Indian Larry
