Iphone 4

Was lucky enough to receive my Iphone 4 an hour before I jumped on the plane. Any ideas of where to try to sell it in Patts? Probably the only one in country.....

Apparently there seems to be a problem with the iphone 4 BBC . As for being the only one in the country I doubt it.

Well, Im a 'lefty' and got my iPhone 4 on the launch day in the UK.

I have read the net-blogs about the various issues that people are reporting. All I can say is that my little beauty has made me fall in love with gadgets all over again

 

Im not experiencing any probs with signal strength (so far !)

 

I'd agree with the previous poster that eBay is the way ahead for off-loading with a quick turnaround.

My mate just purchased a i phone 4 from a Apple shop in the UK sim free & he paid £600.

This was the 32GB.

 

The price of a mobile phone now is like the price of a Thai girl some small money & some massive money.

 

My Thai Mobile phone is a Nokia that cost me £150 or about 8000 baht.

 

If you have the money then the i phone is very nice & a great gadjet IMO.

I paid $299 USD for my 32gb iPhone 4 here in Los Angeles. But then again, I have to sign up for a 2year contract as well.

(didn't bother me though since AT&T was the cell provider I would of been going with anyways)

I have a year left on my ATT contract for my 3GS iPhone so I do not qualify for a 32G iPhone4 for $299. But I could purchase one now for $499 now if I so choose.

 

I have loaded the 4.0 software and the features it provides for the 3GS are pretty good. I think I will wait it out another year so that all the bugs are ironed out of the iPhone4 and I might then upgrade to the iPhone4. Heck it might even be cheaper by then!

Definitely a good idea to wait since you already have a 3Gs. I was using a 3G (before getting my iPhone 4) and loaded iOS 4 onto it; talk about making that 3G slow!!!!!!! (I'll probably reinstall the prior software onto it and then just use it either as an iPod touch or jailbreak it to unlock it so that I could use it when I'm in Thailand.)

 

In a year, chances are Apple will introduce an even newer iPhone so you could upgrade to that one (5th generation) or as you stated, get the iPhone 4 for a much lower price.

The BBC - don't get me started. They're constantly slagging Apple for one thing or another. The BBC partners with Microsoft on their iPlayer (using Silverlight) which a direct competitor to iTunes and h264. "Click" is a load of ignorant one-sided bollocks more often than not.

 

There's something on now about how holding the phone can affect the antennas inside, but this isn't unique. It happens with Nokia 2320s and there's a video up on YooToob showing a

. With the iPhone you have to squeeze the lower corner to get it to do this. Hell, Gizmodo broke theirs trying to squeeze it in just the right way.

 

It seems to be an issue with internalizing the antenna and having it point away from your head. I really don’t think this is a significant issue.

For many years now, any cell phone that I've had seems to always affect the signal strength displayed on the phone, no matter what phone it is.

 

Someone on this forum or another forum posted something saying that since flash won't ever be on the iphone, then there isn't any chance that Hulu will ever be able to be viewed on the iPhone or the iPad; wrong.

guess its easier to get cash in hand but you would have got 50k bt min on ebay, was checking last week and they were all about 1k in the UK

Installed iOS 4 on my 3G as well which did slow it down to a crawl.

 

However one week and two reboots later it is back to normal speed with iOS 4. Some also suggest to reset the network settings which i did not.
