Big Ass Photos

Browsing around the forums there are 100's of posters that post their original photos on the msg board, some of these are huge when reduced and even on my 24" 1080p monitor, can't image what it would be like a smaller monitor. I find I have to constantly use the firefox image resize plugin to scale each photo to fit more manageable on the screen. You can shout at users to resize their photos all you want but that never works.

 

I'm not expert in these things but I'll ask anyway:

 

I suppose if the images were all hosted on the pa server then a simple batch resizer for images to run each night or on each upload but a lot are externally hosted so...

 

The auto resizing plugin (script or whatever) you guys use for the forum that auto resizes images if they're too big seems to not resize enough, I don't mean resized to little thumbnail size but big enough to see the image clearly and the option to click it to see the original
