Would pay to have a cheap/used cell phone with Sim card and 500 minutes-already installed.

 

Waiting at hotel- upon arrival-no need to waist time next day looking for one..

 

No fancy 3-G..That's what I buy for lady

 

I am talking lowest/cost and functional in Thailand and beyond.

 

I would pay nit/noy extra-so wouldn't have to waist my time the next day..

 

Take this to the next level-

As far as I remember there are some Taxi services already offering this service. I already had a phone so in my case I got a simcard delivered upon arrival. But the idea is a good one.

i got a unlocked mobil in u.k

so works there as well

get a pay as you go,simm ,in 7/11

but if you not know these things

then that be nice and helpfull

you would need a list of phones you could sell them

or hire them out

at each hotel reception

then need a contact phone number or email

so orders can come in to you

then you can deliver ,

should work fine

same as a pre book taxi from swampy to patts

all sorted up front

so enjoy your holiday

As for one who is not all that "cell" savey this would be a great idea.

I don't have a clue about 3G or any of that shite and could care less to learn. Only problem is as for all things offered to a tourist I can see way to many ways it can go WRONG.

 

That said I will be there in a week and need a phone for a month, CHEAP, no world wide shit, web features, etc, just a fone.

Any idea where and how much ???

Isn't it just easier and cheaper to buy a Thai SIM card at 7/11 and just pop it into your home cellphone? Then when u leave just change out the SIM card and your back in business? Just a thought...

I saw today where Brand New Nokias and Samsung Phones are now under 800 Baht..Its yours to keep until you return...Tesco and CareFour has them for a little over 700 Baht New in Box..
