It appears to me there are Many Many Franchise eyeglass businesses owned by Thai Chinese and ALL of these Franchises are VERY Expensive...Does anyone Know a place that is good, cheaper and Privately owned?

No place on the Planet like Pattaya..Don't let your meat loaf

My mate bought the glasses from the shop which is on Second Rd and found that it is too expensive compared to Irish ones (Specsavers)... He works Baunch and Lom, Eye Lens Industry, said the quality of glasses in Pattaya are not great for the expensive ones..

While it's not what you would call local, I *highly* recommend zennioptical.com

I've purchased 4 pairs of eyeglasses from them, and have yet to spend over $40.

I've been very happy with both the quality of the frames, and the accuracy of the prescriptions for the lenses.

For each pair, it's been almost exactly 2 weeks from placement of order online to them showing up in my mailbox here in Texas.
