Antibiotics, there or here?

Hi Just wondering whether its better buying anti-biotics there or by getting a full check up here. I have heard about fake imports in thailand (everything including anti-biotics) but wanted to know whether anyone has had any bad experiences by taking the ones out there?

I don't think you'd have a problem if you bought whatever you need from a reputable pharmacy in Thailand. Try Boots.

I got really sick on my second trip to Pattaya, and went into a local clinic, the antibiotics along with the treatment itself was top notch i thought, and was cured in a few days, well mostly........ No problems with the medications either.....

If you want to be 100% sure about the antibiotics go buy a farang-brand at Boots Or Watson. But the Thai-generics are usually as good as the originals...

I have had anti biotics in Thailand on a number of occasions and had np problems whatsoever...as others have said Boots the pharmacy is the best place to get them.

there is a pharmacy just before Walking Street on the left (opposite subway) if you know roughly what you need they are ALOT cheaper than BOOTS and very knowledgable/helpful

Ideally you bring a sample of your prescribed drogs to a pharmacy. They will sell you the same or something with the same incredients.

 

Any big good looking pharmacy in Thailand should do.

I always stock up with antibiotics before I return to the UK. Never had any problems.
