English guy taking G/F to Australia for holiday

One of my mates is visiting his GF in Thailand and wants to take her on 10 days vacation in Australia during his trip. Anyone know what will she require to take to the Embassy for a hoilday Visa.

My Girlfriend has visited England and Europe before and I have previously sorted out mates GFs to europe so I know my way a little Around the Visa paperwork but does Australia have any problems with the fact that my mate will be on holiday as well and not a resident. ( He got knocked back taking her to france as he was not a resident)

 

Info on the following please.

 

Cost ?

 

Are the following required.

 

Bank statement his/hers

Letter of invitation from him plus taking care of financial costs.

Proof of relationship.

Proof of his employment in England

Travel insurance for her.

Passports

 

Any other info gratefully recieved.

I do know the Aust embassy are very strict in BKK, it is my opinion that ur friend will be knocked back because he is not a resident of OZ and she is only a gf, different story if they were married. Do u know if she has good job??. but u to might be able to help ur friend, u ring oz embassy in oz and sus it out then let him know. All that paper work u mentioned they will more than likly want. i know if ur livng in oz all u have to do is write a letter of invitation stating relationship and send certified copy of passport, given that she has good job or somthing that she has to come back home to then there is never a problem. she should apply for e676 visa but cant be done online for Thais, so a trip to the consulate/embassy may be required

Been done before, but not easy for Australia. If your mate's girlfriend has a normal job with proof of tax & money saved & or land etc, not to hard, but if only worked in bars etc, with no proof of income it gets difficult. They even check bad credit on occasions (a lot of girls for example: don't finish paying off a motorbike, & keep the bike.) Happens. Best advise is to go to a good Visa office, e.g. Key Visa on Soi L K Metro, where they check everything before submitting the forms.

I don't think him not being a resident has anything to do with the application. Other than security and criminality they judge applications on whether the person will abide by the terms of the visa, have access to funds to cover the trip costs and that the person will not draw on public funds.
