Laos Visa Query

I'm short of pages on my passport and would like to know if the Lao entry visa is just a stamp or whether they slap a full page visa in.

 

i.e. if one picks up a tourist visa at the border, say at Friendship Bridge.

Visa for Laos is full page.

Visa for Thailand is full page.

Stamp out of Thai - stamp in to Laos - stamp out of Laos - stamp in to Thailand

Total needed 3 pages.

 

Edit: and you need more pages when you finish your first entry and either get a extension, or go on a Cambodia visa run (full page again) for activate the 2nd entry you got in Laos + stamps in/out both countries.

Total 5 pages incl all above.

If you just leave and re-enter Thailand you don't receive a visa you get a visa exemption.

 

The visa is a whole page but not the exemption.
