Barrel barbecue wanted

Not sure if I am posting this in the right section but he we go.

 

Can anybody point me in the right direction of where I could possibly pick up a converted barrel barbecue in Pattaya. Must be charcoal burning not gas. Have tried those small terracota ones that the Thais use but want to get something a bit more substantial for the garden. Whether pre fabricated or made to order by a metal working establishment. I would be interested in tracking one down.

I would think you could have one easily made up. Find somewhere where they do metal fabrication and buy a barrel.

Hi - We just fabricated a prototype Charcoal barbecue a couple of weeks ago, due to the local terracotta and barrel ones being pretty crappy. The imported gas units are way over priced - but also give a different "finish" to the food. Figured there is a market in teh mid price range for a better charcoal unit.

WE can build to any size. There is a tape measure set to 1 meter in a couple of the photos.

The black body is sprayed with high temperature paint. The frame with quality enamel over galvanized tube.

 

There are 3 wire grids in the Barbecue -

One sit just above the adjustable ventilation system for the coals,

One high level half length

One slightly lower half length.

This allows for different heat levels as well as easy access / adjustment of the coals.

There is also a side table with hooks.

The frame has provision for dropping in a rotisserie unit.

The "Barrel" as well as the side table are removable for transport / cleaning

The Barrel also tilts for cleaning if you prefer.
