another thai language question

hi chaps, question for some of the more experienced speakers........

 

sounds like....."dop salop salai" a few girls used it, generally after i say a joke or something funny, or maybe something they dont believe? can anyone give me a good translation and correct pronounciation?

I wouldn't call myself an experienced speaker but it means something like "slap you to the floor", said to me quite a few times when i've said something cheeky or a joke at their expense 555. adi

Yes, it meaning is similar to 'Knock you senseless' but it's meant as a joke. if you want to fire one back you could always try my favourite fun insult; 'khun pen khon thee mai mee bun leey chart naa ja gert pen malaang saap' which means 'you are a person with no merit whatsoever. In the next life you will be reborn as a cockroach! That should get a laugh.

Yes it means 'slap you until you're unconscious'.

You can also say 'mao salop salai' = get drunk until you're unconscious.

I've heard a similar thing, hear it all the time, like when a BG loses at connect 4 or something.
