egget,

Please don't post pics any larger than 800x600 pixels. These large pics take forever to load on a page.

I gave up.

I remember speaking to the admin here a few times about programming tweaks - I suggested creating a upload plugin to dynamically resize anything displayed to a maximum 800w image - you could still upload as large as you wanted, but the display part would scale and create a cached temp photo the board could use in place of the gargantuan image. Never heard back from him, but the idea is still valid - I use it on the Spanky'sBKK website, so Marc can upload any size image he wants and a smaller, web-happier image is displayed.

Or you could just warn and then cut people from the board. Either would work, and the latter in this case makes more sense.

What I love is when people say "Uh, I don't know how to do that in Windows" - fukit-learn!

Ref size of pic

Try a little program called Shrink Pic. Its a little free program that runs in the background and changes size of all pictures uploaded automatically.

Search for it yourself or here's the link on CNET

Excellant idea for people with windows based PCs.
