Transport from Airport

Anyone able to recommend good transport from airport to pattaya?

I always use Bell Bus, who operate every 2 hours during the day from Level 1, Gate 7. You are taken to Pattaya North Bus Station, then transferred to a minibus to take you to your hotel. All in price of 200THB.

Other option is a taxi. Don't know much info on them because I've always used the bus.

If you're travelling solo Bell Bus is best if you arrive in the day, public bus best 2nd best (drops you off on Sukhumvit, need to get a Songthaew into town) but runs a bit later - failing that grab a taxi from the touts but don't pay more than B800 for it (will require haggling).

 

If there's a few of you, just go for the taxi.

A little 'side note'; be sure that you have them include the toll way fees in the total price also. I believe that when I was there in Aug 2009, the total toll fees one way was 85 baht. (believe that there's 2 toll 'booths' that vehicles have to stop at from BKK to Pattaya.)

cheers for the info guys. am going solo next year en route to Aus, last time i was there i just turned up, someone else had done all the organising, baby sitting etc.

the earliest departure hour is 8:00 AM, and the Etihad planes from Paris arrives at 6:50 AM in BKK... no way i will wait the minibus 1 hour in the airport.

Magik if your flight arrives at 06.50 it will take a hour to get through immagration and customs then straight on bus

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...........when I went in August, I arrived at about 11:30am during the week and was out the door less than a half an hour after exiting the place.
