Looking for a hotel in Patong for around 1000 BHT in December/Jan

Can anyone reccomend a clean room with aircon and guest friendly in the Patong area.

You'll be lucky to get 1000B in Patong over the Christmas/NY period, but The Tavern comes close. Good place to stay.

Good luck! I really think you may need to budget more than a 1,000 - prices in Patong are getting silly, despite some of the hotels not being full they're still charging a lot. Christmas and NY is nearly always busy with rates sky-rocketing over those two holidays (also, note a number of hotels will force you to include a Christmas Eve or New Years Eve Dinner in the price and these can be costly)

check out lamai inn,stayed there in aug and paid 600 baht a night, great little hotel,great staff,nice bar overlooking street,guest friendly,numerous massage parlours within 30 seconds walk(christines soapy massage 100 m away)5 mins walk to bangla road and less to jungceylon

shopping centre.
