CAR HIRE KHON KAEN

Flying to Khon Kaen in Feb 2010 and need to hire a car. Anybody know good car hire I can book before hand either at airport or in Khon Kaen and whether I need to pay extra cost for taking car into Laos.

You can hire at the airport, two of the bigger firms cant remember which ones, its been a year. Or in the main town about 4 miles from the airport theres a few local ones dotted around the main banks hiring cars and pickups. I would google kkc airport, its a nice airport now, not like it used to be. Hope this helps .

It's unlikely any rental company will allow you to take the car out of Thailand.

Thanks for the ifo lads. Ill check through airport for car and may have to rethink travel in Laos.

Just got back rented car at Khon Kaen Airport used Thai car rental great service and prices did everything on line

Can't say for sure, but try contacting a few of the car clubs in your area. You may ask at a car dealer, if you don't know how to contact the clubs. They may not want to rent the car to you alone. They may be willing to drive you for a fee. Talk to the car guys and see what you can come up with.Limo service Miami

You can drive to Laos border Vienteine and leave a car there and use taxis or escorted guides for a bit of travel around Laos.
