Unable to edit my own post

Hi gentlemen

 

I'm unable to edit my posts in 'Thai Girl Relationship Issues' but am able to edit my posts elsewhere. I'd be most grateful if a site admin can fix this for me.

After a certain amount of time you cannot edit posts, not sure how long

When posting... go back to the post after an hour or so.. specially if you think its a bit controversial... you would be suprised at how silly your post may come across.

 

But at the end of the day... when its up... its their forever...

huh?! that means we can't do anything about our own postings after some time?

can any mods explain why is that? what if we/i really need to remove the post?

Click on the report button & explain why you want the post removed.

I would have thought it was obvious but as you ask, here goes.

 

Imagine member A makes a post in a thread

 

Then 100 posts follow that post either quoting it or following as a thread.

 

The poster A edits the post.

 

Makes a mockery of the other 100 guys time and effort as their posts may no longer make any sense!

 

If people need posts removing then all you have to do is either use the report Button (bottom left of every post) OR send a PM to a Mod explianing why you need it removing. Obviously we prefer not to have to do this frequently as we then have to spend time cleaning up all the quotes and making sure other peoples posts still make sense but it can, and does, get done.
