LAOS VISA

Im travelling into Laos in Feb during my hol in Thailand. Board members have been helpful with Visa, hotels etc but need to ask another question. If i get a 15 day visa when I enter Laos am i then able to go back and forth within that time as much as I like without any further payment. In other words I was going to stay one night in the Laos Capital Vientienne and then travel back to Nong Khai for 3 or 4 nights and drive over the bridge for day trips. I will have a thai lady with me ( I know taking sweets to sweet shop but she floats my boat)

Any info will be great.

From memory, Lao visas are single entry only. So going back and forth across the Friendship Bridge from Nong Khai will cost you every trip. How about replanning your trip so you just spend a few days in Laos?<br /><br />Edited for spelling

Laos visa is single-entry if memory serves me right, so every time you cross you will need to get a new visa. Like Colin said, I would suggest you plan what you want to do in Vientianne and stay for a few nights.

big casino, having just come back from 2 weeks in laos i have to say i think it would be a waste of time to try to do day trips tp vientiane. first of all, though i never really looked, i'm quite sure the visa was a 30 day single entry. secondly, vientiane is no garden of eden and unless your lady has some lao roots i can't imagine her liking it. i totally loved the country, one of my best trips in years but that was in spite of the cities. the lovely countryside and the incredible warmth and innocence of the lao people is what did it for me. many might disagree with me on this but that is my take on it. if you have the means to fly the 2 of you up tp luang prabang that would be a totally different story.
