Credit card at the airport, flying with Qatar

I've noticed on Qatar's website it states that you need to show the credit card you booked with at the check-in desk, trouble is I no longer have the credit card. I've emailed the travel agent we booked with and they said no problem just to take another form of id.

 

Do they usually ask for the credit card at the check-in desk? were flying from Gatwick.

i get the same crap from etihad...but they have never asked for it at check-in..

ive never been asked for it when ive flown qatar .. another form of id .. what like your passport??

when i booked my qatar flight i was going to pay with my moms card as i dont have one but i was told by qatar that if i booked with a credit card i would have to produce that card at the checkin desk. I was a bit worried but i used thewisemiser.com who were excellent and gave me a bank account number to pay in the cash for the ticket. when i got back from the bank there was an email waiting with a receipt for the money, the flight details and my eticket. they were the same price as qatar direct too, excellent service.
