iPhone Recommended Pattaya Apps?

Hi gentlemen

I was wondering if anyone has downloaded any of the apps for Pattaya (at least the ones which come up when doing an iTunes search for Pattaya)?

I can see 5 in iTunes UK -

Pattaya by Dubbele.com

ProGuides - Pattaya by Brighthouse Labs

iMapsPro - Pattaya by Brighthouse Labs

Pattaya (Travelto) by Molinker Inc.

Pattaya Tour Book by Molinker Inc.

Potentially could buy all 5 for £3.55, or might just run that jailbreak software that some of my work colleagues have applied to their iPhones and then get all the apps for free.

Any other cool apps out there that would be worth loading on my iPhone before I go to LOS?

Thank you

I am not really sure how well these compare to the ones you have, but hopefully most are international. I will check out the ones you have when I get time. I may also get a few apps myself, but I really doubt my iphone will set foot outside the US ever. Unless it will help me in the long run.

I think the only one worth it above would be google earth, even that seems a bit iffy since it takes a while to load I bet. Also a pain in the ass when you are in a rush. Then again you could just use the website and see if anything sparks interest. The list you have seem to be dedicated to one location, which is much better than a system that focuses on various parts of the world. May not include that much if anything. Hopefully some other BM's have some useful apps they can share.

I have a few Thai related apps nothing special, but none about Pattaya.

If you jailbreak your phone you will not get any paid apps off the appstore for free,it doesnt work like that, you will get them off cydia but theres no Thai apps on that at the moment.

Thanks for the info Suirside; that makes sense that not everything on the appstore will be in cydia.

I took the plunge and bought the two Molinker ones. From my little browse through, there's really not much difference between the Molinker ones, they seem like much the same thing. I'd recommened the Pattaya (Travelto.) The only differnce the Tour Book had was a slightly better map, but you can download a jpg and put that in your photos (and save 59p,) and the Tour Book has an annoying beep sound effect that puts me off it. Really they're just info off wikitravel, but very handy to have all the info available offline and in your pocket.

One other thing I have that is very very good - iPoodThai. With iPoodThai, it's like having a phrase book, but one better as you can play a pronunciation.
