Ruan Thai rest.

It has been many years since my last trip to Pattaya. I am really looking forward to my return trip in the first half of next year.

I have used the search engine on the forum and can not find any posts on the Ruan Thai restaurant. If my memory serves me it was on the east side of second road a little north of the Royal Plaza mall. It had alot of patio and deck seating with dinner show. I liked how they brought my dish out and set it over a can of sterno. My L/T liked the show which was a kind of a sword twirling with Thai humor thrown in. She laughed during the entire show. Of course I hand no idea what was said.

Is the restaurant still open? Are there any other restaurants which have a similiar atmosphere?

Yes mate, still open, still gets pretty busy, I usually go a couple of times per trip, never seen a sword twirling show though, mostly Morlam/Thai dancing still enjoyable, food good and loads cheaper than Walking Street restaurants.

Whenever I visit Pattaya I always like going to the Ruan Thai for a meal. And I usually like to finish off with an Irish coffee.

The Ruan Thai does a good irish coffee and it's always made in front of you and the person making the Irish Coffee puts on a show
