I couple of years ago (Seems like forever) I went to my Tilaks home to meet the parents. I had a great time. The only problem is I have no idea where I was. I thought I was in a small village called Loie but this seems not to be the case. I did hire a car, an Honda Jazz!! automatic got eight people in it and went to ภูกระดึง pukadung national park. This was about 40-45 minutes away. I am looking thriu some old pictures and the only on with any signpost is this one. If anyone can tell me where I really was that would be great . Cheers Guys

the first word is nonsombun something, i find a school by that name in Chaiyaphum province, the 2nd word, i get no google results with it, not with the complete word anyway, i might be spelling it wrong though, ห้วยเดื่อเหนึอ ?

i am pretty sure "บ." stands for หมู่บ้าน (moo baan) "village" in this case, was thinking maybe บริษัท (bor ri sat) "company" but that doesn't really fit

 

บ. โนนสมบูรณ์ (nohn som boon)

บ. หัวยเดื่อเหนือ (huay deua neua) and the เหนือ would probably mean north

 

กรมโยธาธิการ (grom yoh tah ti garn) department of public works

กระทรวงมหาดไทย (gra suang ma haad thai) ministry of the interior

 

if we can verify what the abbreviation บ. stands for we will get it

look for the location on route 203, does that look right ?

i am seeing . . .

 

line one = เสียภาษี ให้ท้องถิ่น

 

เสียภาษี = pay taxes

ให้ = give

ท้องถิ่น = area, district, municipal area, locality

 

line two = น่าเงิน-า-บ-า-- นาท้องถิ่น

 

น่าเงิน = could be something like "payable" but . .

-า-บ-า-- = just can't make this out

นา = could be "field" but probably more to it

ท้องถิ่น = area, district, municipal area, locality

 

my best guess would be that you were about 13 kilometers (8 miles) east of the city of Loei on route 213
