Medical Advice/Explanation

Recommended Posts

I was reading my mother-in-laws medical chart today as they cannot figure what is wrong with her. They have been at this for a week already. She complained of pain and a swelling in her stomach. Could someone explain in plain English what this means:

There is lobulate mild enhancing lesion size about 5 cm at rt. anterior in traperioneal cavity with a tiny internal calcification. No as-cites or lymphadenopathy.

Unreamarkable adjacent bowel loop.

The uterus and urinary bladder are unremarkable.

Lmp.rt abdominal mass, inflammatory process; appendicial mass; diverticulitis or focal abscess is more likely than tumor. please correlate with clinical and history.

Could I assume that it is just an abscess? Will they have to drain it surgically or remove it?

Best guess ...

Thanks for the windup. I'll bite. Have your doc look at her appendix. A week? Ouch!

Now that will be $200 for the consult and I don't take checks.

That's the first time in a radiology report that I have ever seen the word "tiny" used. Maybe you guys do things a little different. :Dance4: You might also consider changing doctors. Seems their spelling and grammar needs some brushing up. :):D

This post is might have something to do with me. On another board I stated I am a Surgical PA. Probably just someone from there taking the piss and seeing whether its true or not. It's her appendix. A laproscopic appendicectomy will probably be in order. I don't have the patient's history or bloodwork nor have I examined them. If you are indeed asking a genuine question I urge you to seek immediate medical attention for her. Seeking medical advice about your mother in law on a Pattaya whore board is not a good choice. There are possibilities for further infection and complications. Go see a doctor.

That is the doctors report in a Thai hospital. It might be a whore board, however there are people on here from different walks of life so someone might have an answer. Doctor #4 already looked at the appendix and said he does not think anything is wrong.

Whores are probably the only people who spend more time looking at other people's bodies than doctors.

A doctor can visually detect cock rot but only a BG can see and taste it.

Is she seeking treatment at a provincial hospital? I wouldn't place my life or any of my loved ones in a provincial Thai doctors hands. Go to BKK. Bumrungrad, BNH, and Samitivej are all decent. They have specialists and better equipment. Good luck.
