Is it worth booking a Bangkok Airport to Bangkok hotel for 595 Baht worth it or would a meter taxi be alot less ?

It would be saving any hassle at the airport with taxi touts etc and would mean having someone meeting me at arrivals with my name on a board etc

Thanks guys :)

i took a 3 hour taxi tour in bkk that cost 500 bt... taxi meter.. was driving the whole time..

i dont think its worth it. imo..

but then maybe they charge more because they are picking you up from an airport...

its BETTER to be PISSED OFF then PISSED ON!!!..

if its your first time in BKK then i think its worth to pay the extra 200 bath or so. But its not a hassle to take a meter taxi from just outside the terminal. after you exit the customs you will be in the public area where hotel info desks, exhchange and taxi desks are located. do not accept a ride from the taxi services in this area cos they charge more as well so exit this area and just outside you will find the meter taxi stand. it should't cost you more than 350 bath going to the city center. make sure meter is used at the start of journy it should disply 35 bath i guess. you will be expected to pay meter amount + 50 bath + tolls for motorway (tolls about 80 bath).

Yep, well said. I've always used metered taxi's, even to Pattaya. Its no problem getting a metered taxi, but if its your first time paying the extra B250 or thereabouts for peace of mind wouldn't hurt I guess.

In that case, heed the above advice.

Avoid/ignore all touts inside and outside.

There are two public taxi booths located near each end of the terminal.

Anywhere between B250 - B400 + tolls + airport fee.
