Travel From Pattaya Bus Terminal

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Not sure if this goes here, so move it if necessary. Thinking of taking the bus from Bangkok to Pattaya. Like to know, once arrived at Pattaya bus terminal how do you get to your hotel? Do you hire a taxi or is there an alternate means to get to your hotel? If for example, I wanted to get to Sandy Springs on soi 13 or any other hotel in the area what would the cost be for transportation to the hotel? Thanks

Hello Pathway, if you travel by the bel-bus-service, leaving from Suvarabhumi level 1 gate 7, then they wil have transportation wiating in the Pattaya busstation to your hotel.

You can make a reservation on their site...http://www.belltravelservice.com/

Once you arrive at Pattaya bus terminal they will usher you into a shared baht bus which you just tell the driver you are going to sandy springs hotel on Soi 13 he will probably drop on the corner of Soi 13 and beach road or maybe at the other end which is Soi 13 and 2nd road either end is a short walk to your hotel and it should cost you about 20 baht, you are better not aksing how much you are better just handing him 20 baht when you get off and just walk away. Otherwise he will know you have no idea and tell you 100bht

When you get to bus station you will have a shared bus they will ask you where you are going and put you on the right bus : it is 50 Baht but will take you to your hotel if you know exactly where you are going you could possibly cross the raod outsaite the bus station walk a few hundred yards flag down the bus and get to second road for only 10baht and so on if your hotel is on the bus route I think this may be quite a task however so go mad and spend the whole fifty baht, you can soon save the difference if you buy BIG bottles of water rather than small

The shared baht bus from the bus station to Beach Road (soi 13) is 20 baht not 50 baht. The only hassle is having to wait while it fills up, as this can take a while during quiet periods. I normally just sit and get annoyed rather than hopping out, crossing the street and getting a moving baht bus. It always leaves eventually.
