Anyone got any good advice on equipment to use to boost a wi fi signal

 

new hotel has wi fi but I am on the top floor and get a load of cut outs

 

any antennae advice or equipment to buy for the laptop appreciated

walk down to the lobby. If it was a condo I would complain to them but for a hotel just deal with it

Hello all.....go to www.cantenna.com for starters. You can also make a home brew cantenna version with a pringles can, just google pringles. With a external antenna such as a cantenna you will now "see" many other wide open Wi Fi signals. I'm not sure how legal it is to tap into these open signals....as they say, up to you. samuijim
