As I am having yet another go at Pimsleurs 30 lessons, I thought that I would post my crib sheet of the content of the lessons as I go along. Anyone else setting out on this venture may find the crib useful. I understand that Pimsleur is available for download on various torrent sites.

Thanks for this bocelli27. I've just started doing the Thai Pimsleur lessons again & your crib sheet will come into good use.

I hope in time, cribs sheets for lessons 11-20 & 21-30 are eventually posted.

Thanks again - most appreciated.

I have ignored the tones because I am assuming the crib will be used in conjunction with the lessons so that the tones can be heard and imitated.

I am intending to work through the remaining 20 lessons in the same way; I have them on a excel spreadsheet which may be a better way of posting them as an attachment ; or I could email it to any interested parties

Yes please! Could you email me an Excel copy when you get a chance. Thanks.

By the way, on your crib sheet for lesson 1, you'll need to change the masculine/feminine around for the phrase below:

pom mai chai con Thai krap I am not Thai (f)

dee-chan mai chai con Thai ka I am not Thai (m)

Many thanks

I went through the 30 lessons and learnt it pretty well a while ago but the problem I found out when I learn't my new knowledge is this. You can speak some phrases but if someone talks back to you, you won't understand a word they are saying.

Pimslar is ok for a grounding in Thai and to learn a few useful things for a holiday but to reach any sort of conversational level forget it.

I wish I had never even bothered learning Pimslar for 3 months as I never use it now as I have a teacher and can think on my feet in Thai. Its ok to learn from but its really not how people speak in "real life" so you will struggle to understand responses to some of the Thai you have learn't via Pimslars.

I suppose it depends on what level you want to learn Thai to.

My understanding of women goes only as far as the pleasures.

A lot of that stuff in pimsleur is good for structure but about it, like has anyone heard a thai say.. "pom dtang jai ja bai gin ahaan glang wan", just "bi gin kow"
