Well...what can I say? Top order let us down badly, and I thought the tail batted brilliantly to get the draw. They owed us that because when the Aussies were batting they were little better than pie chuckers bowling to be honest. Monty Panesar saved the day with great defence, but if he had bowled better we would not have been in this postition. The two teams ability wise I thought were quite evenly matched this time and I expected far better from England. It was a very poor all round performance from England on a good wicket, and the way we chucked our wickets away was unreal.

 

Well done to Australia, they batted well, but I have to say, we did make them look good with our appalling bowling.

 

I must admit I felt like an England cricketer when I last went to Patts last... always getting my middle stump out...
