Sep/Oct hotel advice

I am coming to Pattaya Sep 29-Oct 12, and am hoping for some hotel recommendations. This is my first LOS trip so I'm kinda flying blind, but I've been reading up. Now that my flight is squared away, I'm on to the hotel hunt.

 

Necessary amenities:

Tall shower, I'm 6 feet and I need a nice shower in the tropical heat.

In room safe.

On the baht bus loop, or very close.

No joiner fee.

 

Would prefer these:

Balcony a several stories up with a not terrible view, does not need to be a sea view, I can look inland. I just want the 'fresh' air.

Computers I can use to check email.

 

I don't care too much about:

Pool

Free Breakfast

Cable

 

I figure on paying 1000 to 2000 a night, the closer to 1000 the better.

 

A second question. When I book, would I be better off phoning/emailing them and trying to bargain for a cash price instead of using the internet reservations? I am planning on paying with cash/travelers check.

Try LK Renaissance. I think they will meet all of your requirements. I myself will be staying there in September.

FWIW www.lkpattaya.com is flagged by firefox as a dangerous site, but the hotel does looks pretty nice.

 

Canterbury tales seems it might be nice, but it looks like there is only 2 floors, am I missing something?
