Took my lady to Istanbul last year for 1 week holiday,she obtained visa from turkish embassy quite easy.Just got back from Thailnd to England and have promised her holiday here. She will only stay for week or 10 days is it the same principle of applying for holiday Visa from the British embassy in Bangkok or is it more strict. She is hair stylist working in salon with regular income.

VAF 1 Tourist Visa to UK not difficult to get but be prepared for hours of preporation and lots of paperwork, including all your finances and assetts which she will see along with many other people.

Thanks. still annoys me that if you get a visa you have to pay £50.00 for a thai lady to visit european countries where as I have never been charged at all ?. Must be a money spinner for goverment.

It makes sense to me. Someone has to pay for the paperwork to be processed. If it wasn't the applicant then that would be one more thing for us tax payers to be paying for..
