Helicopter Charter - BKK to Pattaya

Recommended Posts

Ok...just for laughs and giggles, after making an off-handed comment in a thread earlier this week, I actually did a little googling and came up with:

www.advanceaviation.co.th

as for cost, their website offers the following:

Rate for Bangkok Based EC-135

We charter out our EC-135 at the rate of 2,500 USD/hour (exclusive of 7%V.A.T) Once you indicate to us what the mission is, we will propose you with the estimation which you can amend or adjust to fit your requirement and constraints. Estimation will include ferry flight (a flight that the helicopter starts from the base to pick you up and fly back to the base after dropping you off), and mission flight time. There will be a minimum charge of 30 minutes and fraction of an hour will be calculated pro-rata thereafter.

Waiting time will also be included in the quotation, if required, at 75 USD/ 30 minutes and fraction of 30 minutes will be rounded up to 30 minutes. Overnight stopover will be quoted on a case by case basis. Once the estimation is mutually agreed, a Quotation will be submit to you for your acceptance. Flight time charge will be fixed as indicated in the quotation that is it will not vary in accordance with the actual flight time.

This is nice equipment, but cant speak for their maintanence practices.

So, there ya go...for me, Ill stick to the 1000 baht private taxi ride, and put the rest to work with the girls...lol.

Cheers, Alex

If I had massive bucks then ok it would be quick to get between Bangkok & Pattaya but yes a taxi at 1000 Baht or a little more is my budjet and if all is ok on the roads its only 2 hours.

Great point made above keep the money for the play & the girls.

These days I do not rush around anyway, I am to old for all that play boy stuff. LOL.

ya, and since i monger solo, wont work for me...but, just thinking here...if you and 3 buddies divided the costs (say you bargin a bit and get it for $2000) then its $500each...again, a bit pricey...but one hell of a way to start a trip.

I have a client who I have been chatting with about Pattaya and the fun there...he is talking about me giving him a tour of the town in November as he is playing a show in a country not far away...now this is the kind of guy who would spend the money and I can tag along...first class air, heli ride to the Hard Rock, suite and 2-3 days of insanity there...just think, we could land on the roof and be at the pool bar 30 minutes after clearing customs...LOL.

cheers, alex

I might look further into this , there is nothing more frustrating than getting off my lear jet and having to get into some scruffy taxi for over an hour, does anyone know of any heliports near walking st.

you could rent a tour bus, fill it up with all the girls from Happy AGoGo, get fucked senseless by all of them on the way to Pattaya and probably still have money left over to tip the driver instead.....

Eat. Down. South.

i would think if a person has that kind of money to waste. why not just stay in bkk. and hire only super hotties. and go to all the highend places and have fun...

for 2500 for the ride i better get a BJ and some anal action while in air.. and some free photos of the deed.

its BETTER to be PISSED OFF then PISSED ON!!!..

Unless you get permission to land on one of the few 5 star resorts that have a landing pad. Then you are looking at landing at Utapao airport which is then another 45 minutes drive away. Also I doubt very much they take off from the International Airport more than likely from the old domestic terminal so factor in another 2 hours. We still haven't factored in the wait time, and the flight time.

Brilliant investment to save 2 hours driving. You now have at least another additional 3 hours travelling time, 2 hours of which is on the road.

There are two small private airports near pattaya, there landing fee's are cheap. Admittedly the one i have been to, only has one plane and the cost per hour reflects that. He would be more than happy to except a helicopter landing. (the airfield is near the ambassador hotel sign)

He does have a short run way so he is limited to the planes he can take.

Pictures and details are here,

He does half hour flights around Pattaya bay for around 5000 baht

In cases like this they would normally fly from hotel helipad to hotel helipad

Since my trip begins with a helo ride out of this shit hole desert to LOS, I think the deluxe taxi is a great value at 1,200 baht. Of course this helo looks a lot more comfy than the one I ride on. :GoldenSmile1:

I've you've got the money to pay $2,500 a hour for a helicopter ride (double that in reality as you have to pay for it to return as well), then just give the BIB a call and I bet all of pattaya is an acceptable landing stip.

Just tell them where you want to land and your prepared to pay a $1,000 landing fee and they'll have the place cleared before you can put down the phone.
