I hear that tourism is so bad in Pattaya that the girls on Beach Rd. are giving free blow jobs, just to get something warm in their bellies !

Maybe is so bad business for girls, but last week some hotels were full and many russians and indians are here, but certainly not peoples for girls, many come with families. don't forget about 90 % of the tourists in Pattaya don't come for girls..3/4 are asians tourists and stay together and don't go to the bars.

the OP is refering to the story or rumour that you can stay in some hotels for X number of nights for free as a way to bring back the tourists and thier money after all the recent troubles over here

ive heard it mentioned before though i havnt looked it up and i doubt it will be easy to arrange or sort out as lets face it how many of those caught up in the airport troubles all those weeks or months ago have got thier "compensation" through so far

i put free hotel rooms pattaya into google.com and got this

I was talking to a BKK Hotelier and apparently some of the large hotel chains are offering flight and holiday companies free rooms with a package holiday, no doubt meaning they are low on guests and way overpriced and are trying every angle to lure tourists, I dont think its aimed at the average Pattaya monger unfortunately.

Aparently a lot of the tourists that are here are using the smaller hotels and guesthouses to counteract the baht rate situation etc.

I am also hearing on a regular basis that guys who are sat in UK pissed off at the doom & Gloom they read about in the papers and have thrust down their throats on the news are taking advantage of the cheap flights and arriving here as its cheaper to live day to day here + the climate and the Luvvly ladies........

ok...here's the deal:

IF

1) you send me $500 (via pay pal) then I will send you the secret code to open the hidden file in the password protected forum on the members only site that contains the info on the free hotel rooms...

2) the best part is, if you send an additional;

a. $200, it includes the code to unlock the file for the free "penthouse suite upgrade"

b. $100, it includes the code to unlock the file for the free "orgy night" at the secret Soi6 location

c. $50, it includes the code to unlock the file for the free "round trip limo ride" from BKK with 3 girls on board for anything you want to do.

d. $50, it includes the code to unlock the file with the free "Bottomless Patron bottle"

cheers, Alex "santa" Claus

The free rooms will be here right after the ฿2,000/day payout from the airport closure. Everybody hold your breath.

seriously Guys check out this link from Bangkok post

http://www.bangkokpost.com/business/touris...with-free-rooms

And also sure I read it in the pattaya mail and was on the news when I was out there.

it reads

"Tourism operators in Pattaya plan to offer free hotel rooms from May 1 to Oct 31 to attract local and international tourists during the low season.

Apart from hotels, restaurants and shopping malls will also join the campaign, offering discounts up to 50%. Final details will be decided tomorrow.

The seaside resort city is facing difficult times because of the global economic recession and local political problems, said Chatchawal Supachayanont, president of the Eastern Chapter of the Thai hotels Association (THA).

"With this campaign, we hope tourists and meeting, incentive, convention and exhibition (Mice) activities will be lured back to Pattaya again and tourism sentiment will improve as well," he said.

Mr Chatchawal said Pattaya's hotels had about 20,000 rooms and that all operators would join the promotion.

"This is the first time we have had co-operation from all parties, aiming to restore Pattaya's tourism image," he said.

"Average occupancy was not so bad at around 30-40% after the Songkran festival. But we are very concerned about reservations from overseas, which are not coming yet."

Pattaya's image took a hit just before Songkran when red-shirted protesters forced the cancellation of the Asean Summit after they stormed the meeting site, the Royal Cliff Beach hotel.

Operators in Pattaya hope that when Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva goes abroad he will be able to explain the problems in Thailand and how the government intends to solve them, in order to restore confidence among visitors"

Also just found this offer from westeast travel in London

Yesterday, I sent a request to Mr. Chatchawal Supachayanont of the THA. I asked him if he could send me a list of the hotels in Pattaya that will be offering free rooms. I haven't received a reply yet but, if and when I do, I'll make sure to post it here.
