Had prostate surgery over a year ago, had PSA 24, now after surgery, .002.  Doc well happy. Pissing a lot but manageable, little or no leakages.

Only issue is no boner since op. Taking Talafil-5 daily, still no boner. Doc did mention that there was an injection that could be done to get a boner, must quiz him further next visit.

Was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this injection?

When you say leakage is that like a dribble or more substantial and was your whole prostate removed?

Just a few drops after pissing and yes, whole prostate removed

I don't know what it' called but he seems reigned to it, but it doesn't go down straight after sex. It doesn't seem to bother him.

I’ve been taking it since 2018, nothing else works for me, including the newest fad, peptide PT-141. The shot that works is called Tri-Mix in the US. It’s a blend of ingredients, here in Thailand you have to get the one active ingredient compounded at a private hospital. Dr. Niti at Bangkok Hospital Pattaya has always been my source.

The advantage to it is that it just flat works, every time, if injected correctly. The disadvantage? It sucks putting a needle into the side of your dick every time you want an erection, and it hurts. Still worth it, apparently, as I’ve done it hundreds of times. It really raises the question of “Is this one going to be worth it?”. And it will raise your standards as well. No way I’m going through all that for a 2000 THB floozy. Overdosing is a real risk as well.

So would I recommend it? It’s obviously better than giving up sex, but I would advise it only if nothing else works.

My understanding is you need a prostate in order to have a normal erection, doctor should really have discussed that

In Australia Trimix is, as the name suggests, a mixture of 3 different drugs. Only a registered urologist can prescribe, not GP.

Injection is completely painless, no sensation at all. Pinch your earlobe - Injection site has same sensitivity. Check YouTube.

Prescribing urologist will give instructions.

Completely painless. I must be imagining it. As I said, I’ve done it hundreds of times, and it hurt every time. Is it debilitating pain, no, but it fucking hurts.

Check Youtube, what a fine means of proof.

I have injected Trimix many times, following initial advice from my urologist which is the same as on YouTube (which has clear demonstrations).

If the process causes you pain, suggest you seek professional advice; there should be nil or minimal sensation.

The urologist will hopefully be able to instruct you on the simple technique especially the exact place to insert the thin hypodermic needle.

If you don´t like needles there is MUSE Alprostadil suppositories that you insert into your urethra.

i have a hard time seeing how sticking a needle in your cock isn't going to hurt. i'd see my urologist if it DID NOT hurt.

That is what I thought till I took advice on technique, exactly where to insert the narrow needle. There is little or no sensation when done correctly.

A urologist has heard the fears many times before and should be able to help.

A while back, I had a procedure done called Prostatic Artery Embolization PAE. It's less invasive than some. It helped a little--stronger stream, less trips to the toilet. Also it's an outpatient procedure.

well i suppose it makes it worth trying a different urologist if yours can't explain it. i'm fortunate to not need it (my procedure, Rezum, was rather minimal). i'm assuming you had the whole prostate out? cancer or severe BPH? i considered enucleation but by avoiding it i can still shoot ropes.

mine was different though, psa was 10 and 24 core MRI guided biopsy showed no evidence of cancer. so i had a choice.

currently, i've stopped the tadalafil but i still need the alfuzosin if i want to piss like a teenager. it's a little over a year and i'm still seeing slight, slow improvement month to month.

what are you taking, if anything, after the procedure? the alfuzosin/tadalafil combo is very effective.

i considered PAE but that would have required flying to HK and i might have had insurance issues, whereas Dr Varat at Siriraj P is a top urologist and REALLY good at Rezum so i went that way.

Since I had the PAE done, I've been trying to ignore my prostate problem.   Alfuzosin/tadalafil combo seems like a good treatment.  I'm going to check into it with a doc.  Thanks for the info.

I don’t believe this to be the case.

However, the surgery involved has the potential to damage nerves making erections difficult if not impossible.  And recovery times can be quite long.

The absence of a prostate does impact ejaculation … orgasms will be dry.

keep an eye on it and PSA trend.

i tried to wean myself from even alfuzosin recently and that didn't go so well, i could pee ok but the urine would tend to be darker than usual based on how much fluid i was drinking, which probably meant that i was retaining some urine rather than emptying. back on it, color's good.

enucleation (HoLEP etc) does not remove the entire prostate but given the complexity of what's threaded through there means orgasms will almost certainly be dry. but you'll never have to worry about pissing again. note that laser enucleation is NOT a cancer treatment but for severe BPH

Last night, I woke up approximately every four hours to empty my bladder. My urine is typically straw-colored. However, shortly after undergoing PAE, I developed a UTI accompanied by pain and very cloudy urine. I had my urine tested at the facility where the PAE procedure was performed, but the results came back negative. Despite this, I continued to experience pain and cloudy urine for several months until another doctor—who was treating me for a separate issue—correctly diagnosed my UTI. Unfortunately, UTI testing does not seem very reliable, at least not in my area of the United States.

I asked Ai what the normal time interval is for urination -- it's between 3-4 hrs during the day. What that tells me is that my waking up every 4 hours to pee may not be that bad after all. That PEA did the job for me I think.

usually for me i wake up for reasons of random wakeups that have always been a thing for humans, and then notice i have to pee and have to decide it's unlikely i can comfortably go back to sleep without a trip downstairs to the WC first.

4h is, for most ppl, 1 full sleep cycle so that's probably pretty similar. i also notice my urine turning darker if i ignore alfuzosin for a few days, implying urine retention to some degree. it's unlikely due to dehydration, it correlates strongly with alfuzosin on/off, and still dark unless and until i drink oceans of water more than usual.
