Paragon Place Hotel, Pattaya Nua Rd.

This is a fairly short review as I only stayed here for a few days.

Paragon Place is off of Pattaya Nua Road a few streets down from Siam Legal and directly behind Pakbungloyfah (The flying vegetable) restaurant. It's off the main road so is very quiet at night. It isn't near the main tourist spots in Pattaya, but is a decent place to stay if you need to be near the North Pattaya area. Third Road is nearby which makes getting around town a breeze.

There is ample motorbike parking but no car parking area that I could see. The reception area is open 24 hours with bellhop service available. There is also room service, but I can't speak for the quality as I didn't eat there. The Pakbungloyfah restaurant is a great inexpensive place to eat and is less than a one minute walk. I stayed on the fifth floor and the single elevator never took long. There is a laundry service in the same building directly beside the motorbike parking area with reasonable prices. Apparently it is a popular place with the Thais as there was a famous Thai actress staying there the same time as me. I was slow with the camera so I didn't get any pics.

I stayed in a large studio (don't know the exact name as I didn't book the room) for ฿1,200 a night. Rack rate is ฿1,300 with a sliding scale of discounts based on how many nights you stay. Credit cards are accepted. Water, power, daily room cleaning and wireless Internet are included. The studio is larger than most that I have stayed in before and has microwave, hot water pot and all flatware/silverware. There is no in-room safe.

Once you've done asian,there is no going back to caucasian.
