Apparently this poor guy who drowned was a well known karate instructor from Victoria somewhere. Surely there should be a lesson to be learned from this unfortunate incident...he was ocean swimming at night, and he was smoking dope as well. IMHO, why would you (a) smoke dope (b) go ocean swimming at night (c) combine both of these activities....what could possibly go wrong ?...( sarcasm ).
