Everything looks great overall! Just wondering — do the rooms have adjoining doors? Those would be a deal-breaker for me.

I stayed there a few weeks back and my room wasn't adjoining. But, this fella's was.

Do some rooms have connecting doors into room next to it ?. Thanks

I have booked 2 nights here for next trip, but will cancel if some rooms do have connecting doors, as I've had issues at every hotel I've ever stayed at with connected rooms

Connecting rooms are horrific with the noise that travels through them. (I'm not commenting on this particular hotel as I haven't stayed there.)

I definitely didn’t have any connecting room. (Some hotels have a single pair of connecting rooms to assist parents traveling with children). Easy way around it just message hotel and make clear that you don’t want such a room.

Had a quick look at the whisper when I was in town last. Looks great and the price is right, only thing stopping me is the road down to buakhao. Once that's sealed I will be staying here.

What's the issue with the road to Buakhao?

It's unsealed and it is like a swimming pool after it rains

Useful video for anyone thinking about staying here. I would classify this hotel as very good value, particularly for those who like a larger room in a modern hotel (most modern, lower/medium cost hotels have very small rooms eg Acqua).

I do like this hotel but the dirt road up to Soi Buakho is terrible after rain. It is also unlit and during my stay there were a lot of soi dogs hanging around.

Stayed there last year, really good for the price.  My room did have an adjoining room door but didn't think much of it, didn't hear anyone at any point.

Thank you, not going to take a chance that upon arrival, the hotel only has rooms with connecting doors into somebody else's room.

Just a shame that some hotels feel the need to have such rooms, rather than selling them as 1-2 bed suites instead.

Bad enough hearing noise from another room through a wall, far worse when there's just a locked door between them

These sort of rooms can be OK for families. That said, you are correct mosthotels don’t have them anymore, and those that do the rooms are few and far between, hotels nowadays tend to opt more for the two bedroom suite. I should add that I stay in Pattaya hotels every six weeks, and I can never recall being in a room with an adjoining door. If anyone likes the Whisper, simply put a message when booking that you don’t want a room with an adjoining door.

I will contact hotel & ask them to guarantee I won't have a room with a door into the room next door

Problem is many hotels say they will note preferences eg high floor etc, but cannot guarantee them, due to what rooms are actually available when you check in.

hotels in central Pattaya are probably the worst place ever to have a connecting door with the room next door  😞

This is Thailand shit happens, the staff might not understand you request.  If you end up with a adjoining room, just ask the desk to change rooms.  Most hotels I've stayed at try to be as accommodating as possible.  The staff at Whisper were very professional in my experience.

A quick review of my stay at the Whisper hotel from December:

I arrived earlier then check in time but was given my room right away (Always Nice).  First stay at this hotel and chosen partly on price and facilities but also by the recommendation from Lottelee in the thread and others.  Got to the room and was very surprised with the size and everything about the room.  Great room layout with a closet and little bar area to one side and the bathroom on the other.  Bathroom was very nice with a walk in shower.  The room I had a King size bed which was nice and a couch near the balcony.  Very nice balcony but the sun bakes the balcony during sun up hours on the side I was facing.  Overall I was very happy about the room.

The hotel itself was very clean and maintained.  Door greater was there most of the time.  They did take ladies ID's at the door and when you get pool towels you must sign those out from the front desk also.  Love the two elevator system which makes for no waits for the elevators.  Pool was very nice and got great sun during the day.

My only issue was the location and the part of the Soi that heads towards Buakhao.  First, I did find myself using Bolt Motorbike from the hotel alot more than my stay at the 247 hotel.  Besides the restaurant down the Soi and the 711 around the corner I used Bolt.  So I have been down Soi Pothole but this Soi from the hotel to Baukhao is WORSE!  Why someone has not smoothed that Soi out is beyond me but the combination of potholes and lack of light at night is no fun.

Other then that I might have found a new Favorite hotel.  Great Price, Pool, Room, and Service was top notch.

Thumbs UP | 9.0 out of 10

PS:  The Wifi was not great and was always cutting out.

Any questions let me know.

Yes , how much per night did you pay  ?

Posted

Booked through Agoda for about $50 USD a night.

Well worth that price if you ask me.  I would go up to $60 but after that the location would start to factor in.

Also across the Soi is KoKoTel hotel which has a great little coffee shop inside and it seems to be available 24 hours which is great.

I don't think it is a mystery: there is no-one to pay for it!

When I stayed there in May of 2024 there was a few days of rain and that road got a bit muddy but not too bad.  There were a lot of puddles but you can easily avoid them.  Though I wasn't there for the crazy rainy season so not sure how bad it can get.
