No sound on internet pages on my laptop

I can play music from my hard drive files but the web pages are all muted.

Last night I put my spectacles on to my keyboard and walked away, when I came back a couple of pages had opened. I think it must have somehow muted my sounds on internet pages. I just closed the pages and this morning there is no sounds on any internet pages hat I open.

Any ideas? I'm not tech savvy so please keep things simple

I've tried google and youtube for suggestions but end up going round in circles.

The problem is with Edge browser. I opened youtube in Firefox and sound is ok.

Thanks for posting but the guy just whizzed through things too quickly. I managed to try a couple of things but no luck. I'll have to use firefox to acccess the things where I want sound.

Might be volume mixer.

Depends on your OS, but if you have Edge open, right-click the volume icon in the tray (bottom-right), then go Open Volume mixer, check the levels in there. Different apps can be set to different levels.
